Tsunami surging to Minamisoma city (Footage provided by viewer) The Japanese text is followed by an English translation. 福島・南相馬市にて、津波が押し寄せる瞬間を捉えた映像。震度6弱。南相馬市小高区で撮影(のちに警戒区域に)。 （※この映像は視聴者から提供されたものです。タイトル『地震発生時 南相馬市 【視聴者提供映像】』の続き） 車に乗り込み、カメラを回した撮影者。海岸の方に信じられない高さの津波が迫っていた。 車内では、ラジオが津波への注意を呼びかけている。 しかし、いまや目前で、田畑の向こうに大きな水しぶきが巻き上がり、家々や松林に襲いかかろうとしている。 道路を見下ろした映像に切り替わる。撮影者は、小高い丘の上に避難してきていた。 死にものぐるいで逃げてきたのか、激しい息遣いが聞こえる。 しかし波は、丘のすぐ下にまで迫ってきた。みるみるうちに、冠水する道路、水に浸かる車。 しばらくすると、引き波が発生。激しい潮流で車が流されていく様子も見える。 波が去り、海岸線を見ると、まだ陸と海の境界が定かでなく、波も荒れている。 丘の下に降りてみると、ガードレールがへし折られ、道をふさいでいる。 つい今しがたまで車が行き交っていた道路は、ところどころ大きく冠水し、がれきや泥が覆い、見るも無残な光景となった。 Footage: Capture of the moment when tsunami rushes into Minamisoma city, Fukushima prefecture. At the seashore is an unbelievably high tsunami approaching. In the car, the radio is warning listeners about the tsunami. That tsunami is now in front of his very eyes, shooting up a massive spray of water, ready to rage against houses and pine grove. The image is switched over to a picture looking down on a road. The recorder of the video had evacuated to a high hill. Perhaps he had frantically run for his life, heavy breathing can be heard. The waves had now reached the foot of the hill, and in mere seconds, the road is flooded, cars soaked in water. A backwash forms after a while and strong tides wash away cars. The waves retreat, but looking at the coastline, borders between land and sea are unapparent, waves are turbulent. Going down to the foot of the hill, crash barriers are broken, blocking the road.
